The Shoulder Mount v3 is our redesigned shoulder support, simplifying previous designs while maintaining a strong and versatile support for any 15mm rail system. The mount plate is 'cheesed-out' to allow for accessory mounting, including our low-profile counterbalance weights. The shoulder mount attaches directly to a 15mm rig, placing the camera over your shoulder. This is best suited for rigs with flip-out screens or external viewfinders (EVF). For non-EVF users, the Offset option centers the camera directly in your field of view. The design and mounting of the Offset allows for varying degrees of X/Y axis adjustment.
The new Counterbalance Weight is flat, low-profile 1.4 lb (0.6 kg) machined aluminum. We recommend a 2:1, rig-to-counterweight ratio. For example, if your rig, camera, and lens configuration weighs 9 lbs then you would want to select approximately 4.5 lbs (3 weights at 4.2 lbs). Users with our hollow counterweight can still adapt to the new system with the Accessory plate, as can 3rd party accessory users.
