The Axis jib is a game changer. Review by Bill Frakes
The Axis jib is a game changer. It's simple, strong, and so smooth.

I am incredibly happy with it. Used in combination with the Atlas 200 it opens up moves simply not possible before.

Since we are a small team doing intimate documentaries and fast profiles we have to have lightweight and easy to use equipment. We need to be as non invasive as possible. For me working with a Sony FS700 or a RED Epic has to be the same as working with my Nikons. This jib lets me do just that.

For a story on the sandhill crane migration in central Nebraska I put the Axis on my shoulder and walked through rough terrain for more than mile with no problem at all. That's portability in a real way.

This jib definitely sticks out with its quick assembly and great portability. Review by Ross Gerbasi
This jib definitely sticks out with its quick assembly and great portability. It takes very little time to put this together and most of the parts are built into the system so there really isn't much to potentially break. On the downside the jib cannot be extended any further, it is as long as it ever can be. ( (Posted on 5/20/2017)
There are a lot of good points to the Axis Review by Travis Valtierra
I have been able to work with the Cinevate Axis Jib for about a year now, and I have to say it's a pretty nice tool to have in our arsenal.

With action sports being our main focus, we have to be able to take this jib in very different environments to really put it to the test. We have tested everything from normal sticks, to attaching it to a skateboard dolly and even an Atlas 200 Slider. We have taken this jib out in the snow, In the hills to shoot moto, to the Florida swamps, and even on the top of a vert ramp.

Even though this jib is on the smaller side, you still can get a lot of camera movement from it. There are a lot of good points to the Axis, its quick in setup, very smooth with really any weight and its very versatile with how you can use it.

I would definitely recommend the Cinevate/Tenba rolling case because it's a perfect fit and it's a must for travel. Also the Cinevate Lock Blocks to help manage any cables from your camera to monitor, it really makes a big difference.
