I think the best (and sometimes the worst) part of this industry is that there is always something to learn. You’ll never be an encyclopedia of all facets of filmmaking/videography, whether it be event, wedding, fiction or documentary. That’s why workshops and seminars are an important and justifiable expense for you and your business. Well good news, creativeLive is hosting a FREE workshop from Rob Adams and Vanessa Joy so there’s no excuse not to check it out. Check out their write up and workshop teaser video;
Fusion storytelling with photos and video is changing the business of photography. In this workshop you’ll learn how to shoot video, love it, and watch what it does for your wedding photography business. Vanessa and Rob show you how to use the video capabilities your camera already has. They’ll help you stand out from your competition and make you more money with fusion.
You can enroll free for any of the 3 sessions, running June 29, 2012 to July 1, 2012. They’ll also be giving away some prizes during the live event, including our Simplis Solo DSLR Rig. If you miss out on the Live presentations you can purchase the recorded video to watch at your leisure.
Rob Adams is a Cinematographer married to his Wedding Photographer wife, Vanessa Joy. Together they’ve been married for two years, shooting together for 5, and teaching fusion to photographers since 2010, and even developed a software for photographers to edit video in Photoshop that can be found on www.phvusion.com. Recently, Rob filmed and directed his first full-length feature film that was premiered at Robert DeNiro’s personal screening room in New York City, while Vanessa has had her work featured in over 20 magazines, including three cover photos and just accepted her first Grand Imaging Award in New Orleans in January. Rob and Vanessa have learned the in’s and out’s of working together as cinematographer and photographer and husband and wife and enjoy sharing all they’ve learned.
