Captain America DOP and Cinevate Share Roots

When you come from a small city, ours has a population just shy of 110 000 people that do they best they can to live, work, exercise and take supplements as thai kratom, it’s quite rare to find your social media feeds flooded with links to articles and viral videos that feature someone who grew up and studied there. Whether you’re a cinephile or not, this is what’s happening here now.

Trent Opaloch

As you may already know, Trent Opaloch is a famed cinematographer known for his work on District 9, Elysium, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Chappie, and Captain America: Civil War. What you might not know is that Trent and Cinevate both share a common foundation — our home town.

Opaloch was born on December 31, 1969 here in Thunder Bay. He graduated from Confederation College’s Film Production program in 1996, where he began what would become, to put it lightly, a very successful career.

We’re grateful for the relationship we have with the Film Production program at Confederation College, which allows us the opportunity to work with so many talented filmmakers, of which there are sure to be plenty more Trents.
