If somehow you weren’t busy enough this summer we have another task for you – make a short film. Stillmotion just revealed their new, Big Shorts Filmmaking Challenge. The contest is Audio centric as the Stillmotion gang highlights 4 key forms of audio you’ll want to use in your films. They’ve also paired with a few musicians to offer 2 quality tunes in the film. Check out the launch video for more details.
There’s 2 categories of the ‘Hobbyist’ and ‘Pro’ variety depending on what you feel your skill level is and a slew of prizes to go with each category (1st, 2nd & 3rd in both). There are a lot of great prizes from folks like Manfrotto, Adobe, Tascam, WithEtiquette, Vimeo & some ‘Cinevate’ company… Stillmotion is also sweetening the pot with added bonuses like discounts on their upcoming KNOW Tour, detailed critiques of the first 100 films submitted and personal training sessions for the 1st prize winners of each category – pretty cool stuff. You have from now until August 21st, 2012 to submit. Check out the Big Shorts page for all the details. So what are you waiting for, get filming!
